Have You Ever Listened To An Audio Book and Found It Terrible?

Have you tried an audio book and gotten so bored you roughly feel asleep?

Have you had a narrator that was so monotone that you could not remember where you left off as it all sounded the same.

Unfortunately these things are possible for many types of audio books.

When you were young and had one of your parents reading a book to you, was it interesting or boring. Did you ask one parent to have the other parent read to you as one was boring and monotone compared to the other that contributed sound effects or changed voices or exaggerated pitch or sounds.

Sadly to say, many habitancy that read books aloud are just that way. They are boring and many are monotone.

Many free sites are like that as roughly all books are read by volunteers. They mean well but they are boring readers and the books sound like they were bored reading it to you.

Then we have audio book clubs that are trying to provide very cheap books using any reader they can get for low prices. You never can tell what you will get out of these readers. Some are exceptional while most others are boring.

There are pro readers out there but you will pay top dollar for these readers and unfortunately they have to charge more for these books. But the books, for the most part, are very interesting to listen to.

How do you know which are good and which are not so good? Many book shop have 5 itsybitsy snips of the book being read by the book’s narrator. You can listen to the book and see if it sounds like something you would be happy listening to.

You will occasionally find that a celebrity will enumerate audio books as a way of earning money when they are not doing movies or tv programs. How much do you think they will charge? The same as Joe Blow? Not hardly, but those books are pretty good compared to many others.

Then you have readers who make a living reading books into a microphone. If you find them in fifty audio books or more do you think they may be good? In general, they are very good and well worth listening to.

To conclude, it is very easy to find the same book narrated by two or more distinct habitancy and have fully distinct results. Even having a play done with an understudy can be good or worse then the star doing the part in that play.

So be truthful and once you find an audio book store that provides great books with very good narrators then continue using them. Usually they will have thousands of books from very good companies.
